Upon the sale of his last small business venture, following years of managing a family business, as well as building and selling several small businesses, he made the decision to be independent of managing others and entered real estate. Despite his personal real estate portfolio consisting of a few residential rental properties throughout the Southeast, his real estate interests were drawn toward the commercial sector.
Practicing since 2006, Jay has closed transactions representative of over $60,000,000.00; among those a $6.5-million-dollar apartment complex and a 170,000 sqft. power center. Jay has facilitated in investment and sale-leaseback transactions and worked with both buyers and tenants in retail, office and industrial, but he specializes in working with industrial and retail clients. Some of his most notable industrial clients in regards to name recognition are IXE Agro, an international organization working in the agricultural arena; Strategic Connections, a Raleigh-based technology company who has been recognized as one of the fasted growing companies in the Triangle for four consecutive years; Dudson, a 100 year old company responsible for the manufacture and distribution of porcelain tableware to the restaurant and hospitality industries; and commercial ownership and asset management groups such as Atlantic Investment Management, Eckstein Asset Management and Healthcare REIT.
